Hi! I am so glad you’re here!

Hello Dear One,

I’m so happy that we have found each other. Any time we embark on a healing journey, the relationship between the client and the practitioner must be rooted in trust, safety and respect. So I would love to use this as an opportunity to share a little bit about myself with you in hopes that it creates a sense of ease and comfort in your nervous system as you consider working with me.

I grew up in New York; born in Manhattan and then moved to Westchester in my early years. I grew up as a very active child, I loved spending time outdoors and loved moving with my body. As I grew older, my relationship with my body changed as the movements I initially loved turned into ‘competitive sports’ and with that, a whole new outlook on my body. I struggled with disordered eating and self harm practices in my adolescence. In addition to the disordered relationship with my body, I experienced some early childhood trauma. This early childhood trauma went unresolved and stayed in my body as I continued to move through life. I attended high school away from home in Massachusetts and found solace in the autonomy and independence that was available to me there.

I attended the University of Vermont and majored in Athletic Training (by no coincidence, a body-based study). This was also were I had my first encounter with Yoga. I took my first class in 2010 and ever since then, it has been an integral part of my life. My plan after graduating from UVM was to continue on with Physical Therapy school and make my living supporting the bodies of others. My life plan took a sharp turn when I got denied from DPT programs, so unsure of where to turn next, I decided to travel to Nepal for a 4 month soul-searching trip. Little did I know, my life would never be the same. I found and explored the deeper limbs of Yoga and learned what it meant to truly LIVE this practice. At a moment in my life when I felt lost and empty, the universe presented me with this path which redirected my life in the most beautiful way.

After completing my first Yoga Teacher training in 2014 and after years of teaching group Yoga classes, I learned about the holistic healing art of Yoga Therapy. The program I enrolled in, Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy, is a combination of Yoga Philosophy, Neuroscience, Psychology and Buddhism. I had several 'emotional breakthroughs’ on my mat in my personal practice, so I always had an inkling that there was more to Yoga than just being flexible and getting strong. I knew that Yoga Therapy was the way IN to my Self and I immediately enrolled in their 4 year program. It was in this program that I uncovered all that my body was holding onto from my harmful relationship with my body, early childhood trauma, a sexual assault as an adult, and a lifetime full of “little t” traumas. It allowed me to give those experiences a voice, and allowed me to release the trauma that my body was holding onto. After my own profound personal experiences, I knew that it was my life’s work, my Dharma, to share this with others.

I went into Private Practice as a Yoga Therapist in January of 2021 and since then have supported hundreds of individuals through their own healing work as they navigate through their depression, anxiety, stress and trauma. As a Yoga Therapist, I combine my passion for healing, ability to hold space, and gifts of compassion, empathy and deep presence to help others connect to the wisdom of their body in order to transform their pain and suffering into a more deeply connected life.

I am a committed to continuing to do my own work in regulating my own nervous system, identifying my own triggers and patterns, cultivating deeper levels of self awareness and healing my own trauma so that I can best hold space for and be of service to my clients.

I currently live in Burlington, Vermont with my husband Jonathan and our golden retriever, Rivers. In addition to Yoga, I love spending time with our little family, adventuring outdoors (skiing, mountain biking, paddle boarding, hiking) and love live music of any kind! Being outside and witnessing the art form of live music are deeply spiritual practices for me.

Yoga Therapy is an incredibly potent and healing modality, there is nothing quite like it. It has saved my life, given me a voice I never knew I had, and created freedom and space in my life I never thought could be there. All you have to do is show up with an open mind and an open heart. I hope you will join me - exactly the way you are, without needing to change anything. You are enough, your experiences are valid, and your voice matters.
